Meet Dr. Sara Khaledi, D.M.D.

Dr. Sara and Dr. Jacquie have known each other and been best friends working together since their residency programs together at Boston University. Dr. Sara, originally from California, went to U.C.L.A. and then continued her dental training and specialty at Tufts and Boston University Dental Schools.

What makes Dr. Sara unique is that her extensive training demands her to perform all of her own patient's exams, x-ray evaluations and hygiene visits. Dr. Sara says that the most significant aspect of meeting a patient for the first time is getting their proper history for an accurate diagnosis. This feature should never be placed on the responsibility of an assistant or hygienist, inconsequential of how good they are. Dr. Sara says, "The BEST diagnosticians are the BEST doctors and that is why I like to be the one to meet and great first time patients, walk them through the practice and do do not rely on a hygienist to do a patient's cleaning." Afterall, we went to school for 4-6 additional years of training to perfect it.

Dr. Sara's two daughters keep her busy in her spare time while her husband is also busy running his own company in midtown Manhattan, not far from our office. Dr. Sara says that I am so thankful that everything is so close together since the kids seem to get more and more homework each year.

In her free time, when Dr. Sara is not at the gym, her passion is watching the cooking channel and trying new dishes sometimes with ingredients she never heard of. Our team at Smiles NYC love being the guinea pigs and trying them out, especially when she tries something new and sweet in the baking department. :-)

 

 

Meet Dr. Josh Oustatcher, D.D.S

Dr. Josh is a board certified orthodontist and works in the Woodbury, Long Island office with Dr. jacquie Dr. Josh earned his D.D.S. degree at the University of Buffalo's School of Dental Medicine and while he was there, Dr. Josh minored in pediatric dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Josh continued his education at Columbia University's College of DentalSchool and went on to earn his orthodontic degree. Dr. Josh has been practicing with Dr. Jacquie for the last 6 years and says that one of the most rewarding aspects of his job is watching patients see thier new smiles at the end of their treatment, when compared to their original photos, for the first time.

Dr. Josh and his wife are the proud parents of 2 beautiful girls. When he's not working, he spends much of his time exploring Central Park with his family.

 

 

Meet Dr. Lori Gitig, D.M.D.

Dr. Lori works in the NYC office with Dr. Jacquie and she was one of Dr. Jacquie’s former Invisalign students from N.Y.U.  Dr. Lori went to Barnard College during her undergraduate years and continued on to earn her D.M.D. degree from Columbia University’s prestigious College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Lori stayed in Manhattan and 

completed her orthodontic residency program at New York University. While practicing with Dr. Jacquie, Dr. Lori made it seem easy to work, leave and soon return to work, after having 3 beautiful children.

Dr. Lori recently moved to Westchester, NY, where she lives with her husband and three small children. Dr. Lori says that she absolutely loves the moment when patient sees their new smile for the first time, when their braces are removed. She says that it gives great satisfaction and gratification to see a patient have more confidence thanks to their stellar smile. According to Dr. Lori, it’s that moment that makes being an orthodontist the best job in the world!   

 

Meet Dr. Chris Corsa, D.M.D.

Dr. Chris works in the NYC office with Dr. Jacquie and he was also one of Dr. Jacquie’s former Invisalign students she taught at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chris is a board certified orthodontist and went to Harvard University Dental School to earn his D.M.D. degree. After leaving Boston, Dr. Chris continued his training at Columbia University’s orthodontic residency.

Dr. Chris is an active individual and can be seen at sunrise going for a run in Central Park. Sometimes, Dr. Chris and Dr. Josh run into each other during a healthy morning jog.

 

 

Meet Dr. Michelle Katz, D.M.D.

Dr. Michelle, a graduate from Cornell University completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Katz completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Katz continued her specialty training in Orthodontics at Jacksonville University.While in her residency, Dr. Katz was trained in Invisalign from Dr. Jacquie. Dr. Katz was eager to complete her program to return to NYC and work with Dr. Jacquie. Dr. Katz ‘s affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontics and American Dental Association.

Dr. Katz resides in New York City with her husband Jeffrey and enjoys running in Central Park.
