Jen is a born and bred Long Islander who lives in Huntington with her husband and their two-year-old daughter. When she’s not working, you can find Jen spending as much time outdoors with her family as is possible – preferably in Montauk!

Meet Vanessa

In her role as insurance specialist, Vanessa works closely with patients and their insurance companies to ensure all charges, claims and payments are handled as smoothly as possible so patients can focus on what’s most important – their treatment.

Vanessa is a lifelong Brooklynite whose personal experiences complement her professional role. Her friendly disposition makes Vanessa popular among patients; it’s not unusual to overhear her chatting with patients about shared interests including snowboarding, the latest page-turner she read, or the last car race she attended with her family. As an Invisalign patient herself and mom to two future Dr. Jackie patients, Vanessa understands just how important supportive office staff is to every patient’s experience and is always available to happily answer any questions patients have about their treatment or their insurance coverage.

Vanessa recently cut her trademark long hair and donated it to Locks of Love.

Meet Zelicy

Zelicy, often called Z around the office, works in both the New York City and Long Island offices. She began her career as an orthodontic patient 7 years ago and as a result of her interest in working with patients and her desire to learn as much as possible, continued on as a team member in an orthodontic office. Z’s inquisitiveness is rewarded at Dr. Jacquie’s office, where staying on top of industry trends and using cutting edge technology is in the job description. According to Zelicy, patients are appreciative of the constantly evolving office – particularly the iPod docking stations and Kidzspace games ranging in all ages from 3 to Texas Hold Em’ for the adults – all of which provides a welcome distraction to a patient during their orthodontic adjustments.

Zelicy’s professionalism is matched by her lively personality and she can frequently be heard humming or singing a tune around the office and exchanging jokes with colleagues and patients. When she’s not working, she loves to relax by watching CSI and America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Meet Ivelisse

Ivelisse, also known as Ive (say “Ivy”), is a CDA-certified assistant and a familiar face to patients in both the Long Island and New York City offices. As a clinical coordinator, Ive is responsible for making sure all of the day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. From ensuring the orthodontists and dentists have the tools at hand then need, facilitating the smooth flow of patients through the office, making permanent retainers and taking impressions of patients’ teeth.

When she’s not working, Ive spends most of her time spending time with her teenage daughter – most often at the movies, shopping or grabbing a bite. A Queens native, Ive is fluent in Spanish and English.

Meet Eneyda

Eneyda has been a member of the Dr. Jacquie Smiles team since January 2011 and is based in the Long Island office, where she is responsible for carefully sterilizing all of the instruments. Although she is mostly a behind-the-scenes team member, Eneyda enjoys the energy of Dr. Jacquie’s office and considers Dr. Jacquie an inspiration. It’s no coincidence that Eneyda enjoys the detail-oriented work of sterilizing fine instruments – in her off hours, she is the owner of a burgeoning house-cleaning business that has grown from a hobby to a second career in the past five years.

Originally from El Salvador, Eneyda lives in Bay Shore where she tries to keep up with her two sons who are a source of great pride for her. Her youngest son is gearing up to join the United States Marine Corps in August 2012 and her oldest has plans to attend culinary school. Eneyda also enjoys running and yoga.

Michelle, a former track runner, highly enjoys the daily opportunity of meeting new patients and helping existing patients, while also catering to their needs and making them feel as comfortable as possible.
