If you opt back into a specific service, you will receive communication in that manner, regardless of your overall opt out selections. These services may include newsletter subscriptions or e-mail communication by asking a question using “Contact Us.”
We are aware that you may be concerned about the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information. Therefore, we have taken precautions to ensure that this information is safe and secure. No data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network will be 100% secure. While we take steps to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us and do so at your own risk. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to help protect your personal information. Upon receiving your transmission, we make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our systems. The DJS takes every precaution to protect our users’ private information. When online subscribers enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number), that information is encrypted and protected with industry standard encryption software.
While we use industry standard encryption software to protect confidential and sensitive information online, we also take commercially reasonable steps to protect your sensitive information offline. All of our users’ information is restricted and password protected at all DJS offices. Only individuals who need the private information to perform a specific purpose are granted access to this sensitive information. These individuals have agreed to hold such information confidentially and to use such information only for the purposes for which that information was provided. Furthermore and in order to further protect access to confidential and sensitive information, the DJS maintains its web servers in an environment in which access to such servers is limited to authorized individuals only and is subject to a variety of electronic, physical and procedural security measures.
Furthermore, certain programs and/or operating systems may maintain information on the computer used to contact our Web Site. As such, each individual user should be cautioned and are hereby directed to refer to the user manual(s) provided by the software publisher of the operating system and/or web browser for information about the security and privacy procedures that are available. DJS can assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the operation and/or data collection procedures employed by each individual user’s operating system and/or web browser.
DJS is protected by an SSL Certificate issued by Network Solutions, a trusted internet innovator for over 15 years. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, which is the standard security technology for creating an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browser remains private and secure. All Secure Link SSL certificates from Network Solutions are encrypted at 256 bits, which is the highest encryption level available.
Powerful 256-bit Encryption
256-bit encryption means that the data cryptographically encoded during an SSL session is at the highest level currently available, and nearly impossible to break. Compared to a 40-bit encrypted SSL certificate, a 128-bit is more than 300 septillion (300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) times stronger. A 256-bit encryption is at least twice as strong as a 128-bit encryption and the most secure SSL available at the moment. All Secure Link SSL certificates from Network Solutions are encrypted at 256 bits.
Privacy Outside of the United States
To the extent you are accessing the Web Site from outside of the United States or reside outside of the United States, DJS strives to comply with the most stringent of local privacy laws. By way of example, Canadian law governs the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in a manner that recognizes individuals’ right of privacy with respect to their personal information. In Canada, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) sets out rules and principles for the management of personal information by commercial organizations. DJS complies with the PIPEDA and the use of your information.
Further, DJS has joined the U.S. Department of Commerce's "Safe Harbor" program with respect to the EU Personal Data and utilizes such information in strict accordance with the Safe Harbor principles. The Safe Harbor principles can be found at www.export.gov/safeharbor. DJS is committed to protecting the privacy of personal data that is gathered and maintained on behalf of employees, employers and clients requesting client data. We certify that, in relation to EU Personal Data, we adhere to the seven "Safe Harbor Principles" of the United States Department of Commerce as outlined in the European Commission's Directive on Data Protection.
